Chulalongkorn Business School Celebrates Excellence and Achievement
The Chulalongkorn Business School (CBS) at Chulalongkorn University recently hosted its recognition ceremony, "CBS Pride Within – Together We Achieve Beyond," at the Mahitaladhibesra Building. The event honored faculty members, staff, and students whose outstanding achievements have brought distinction to the faculty, university, and Thailand across various fields, including academics, professions, and extracurricular activities.

The Finance and Accounting Division at CBS won First Runner-Up at the Hackathon for Growth: AI Together by developing CBS Genie, a chatbot designed to simplify financial processes and reduce workloads. Prof. Dr. Tartat Mokkhamakkul, Dean of CBS, emphasized the importance of creating role models and spreading positive energy through continuous self-development. Recognizing Outstanding Achievements

One of the most prestigious honors was the Puey Ungphakorn Award for Outstanding Young Economist 2025, which was presented to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanis Saengchote, Deputy Dean for Research at CBS. This award recognizes young economists under 45 who consistently produce impactful research and has been a benchmark for excellence in the field.
Dr. Kanis’s research on financial economics, blockchain, and digital currencies has informed national monetary policy and been published in leading international journals. He attributed his success to his commitment to mentoring students and encouraging them to share their work with society. "I have published more than 15 papers," he said, "many focused on Thailand, in both domestic and international journals."
Global Recognition
CBS students also gained international recognition for their achievements. Fourth-year BBA student Kanuth Supthavichaikul won the MIT Award at the ASEAN-China-India Youth Leadership Summit 2024. Out of 180 participants, he was selected among the final 20 teams and one of only three recipients of an MIT Professional Education scholarship.
